01 — the fibre
it starts in the field
Long-staple Egyptian cotton, picked at the right moment. Longer fibres mean fewer joins, and fewer joins mean a cloth that softens rather than pills.
02 — the weave
then it becomes cloth
Woven slowly on a slack loom so the yarn keeps its loft. We wash the finished cloth before it is ever cut, so the piece you receive is the piece you keep.
03 — the stitch
and finished by hand
Every border carries a running stitch, set by hand. It takes longer. It is also the reason you will recognise a PISTAJ piece across a room.
